Herbal Cough Syrup/Immune Booster
Great for cold seasons and generally just a yummy way to help keep us and our families thriving! I personally, have been keeping some type of infused honey in my cabinet all year round, and will give some to the family about every other day, unless we are feeling under the weather then I take it daily! There are many ways to make infused honey, this is one of my favorites:)
Ingredients:
Raw Honey
Onion
Garlic
Ginger
Turmeric
How To Make:
Place honey in an air tight jar.
add onion, garlic, ginger, and turmeric while adding layers of honey.
Once your jar is filled mix and cover with air tight lid. Let mixture infuse for about 1 month, mixing daily by tipping back and forth. Store in a cool and dim area. Sun and heat can ferment and speed up processing.
After about 1 month, texture will be more liquid, you can then strain out the onion, garlic, ginger, and turmeric and store the infused honey in a cool and dark location.
Take 1 tablespoon as needed.
